RECREATION PLACE
Taman Suropati is an important park in Jakarta because there are six monuments of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The monuments were made by each of the six founding countries of ASEAN.
The initial idea of laying the monuments would be spread in Jakarta, but in the end the idea emerged to put all the monuments in one place, namely in Taman Suropati, where security is guaranteed.
The maintenance of all these historical monuments is carried out by the Jakarta Park Service. The designers of the monument are as follows:
1. Lee Kian Seng, from Malaysia, made a monument to the symbol of "Peace, Harmony and Unity"
2. Wee Beng Chong, from Singapore, made a monument to the symbol of "the Spirit of ASEAN"
3.Sunaryo, from Indonesia, made a monument to the symbol of "Peace"
4.Nonthivathn Chandhanapalin, from Thailand, made a monument to the symbol of "Brotherhood"
5.Awang HJ Latirf Aspar, from Brunei Darussalam, made a monument to the symbol of "Harmony"
6.Luis E. Yee Jr., from the Philippines, made a monument to the symbol of "Rebirth"
